Delegation of General Command of Mapping visited Bundeswehr Geoinformation Center in Euskirchen/Germany on 06-09 June 2016 to negotiate on Turkish-German cooperation in the field of mapping.
A delegation from Kyrgyzistan composed of 7 persons visited General Command of Mapping between the dates 30 May-02 June 2016. During this visit they received information about boundary marking activities. Furthermore both nations negotiated on bilateral cooperation. The technological assets and capabilities of GCM were demonstrated.
In order to start cooperation between Turkey and Public Republic of China within geospatioal domain, a delegation from General Command of Mapping visited Beijing from 19th to 26th April 2014. GCM delegation was headed by D.Director Brigadier General Metin KEŞAP and composed of Col.Onur LENK (Assoc.Prof.) and LTC Orhan FIRAT (PhD.). Our team was hosted by National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation of China (NASG) which is the top agency responsible for all kinds of geospatial activity throughout the country.
A delegation from General Command of Mapping visited USA with the main purpose of discussing draft Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA) between GCM and National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA). D.Director Brigadier General Metin KEŞAP (Head of Delegation) with Col.Onur LENK (Assoc.Prof.) and LTC. Murat AVCI (PhD.) also had chance to visit United States Geological Survey (USGS) and National Geodetic Survey (NGS) after BECA talks with NGA. The visit took place from 9th to 13th June 2014.
